The Chapel of St Michael the Archangel, situated within the grounds of the Catholic Education Centre in Leederville, is a popular venue for wedding ceremonies.
The chapel was built in 1938 in the neo-gothic architectural style. Today, it is the focus of the liturgical life for the staff at Catholic Education Western Australia.

Chapel Availability
As the chapel is a popular venue, bookings are essential, and we encourage you to start planning your special day as soon as possible.
Viewing times can be arranged Monday to Friday, between 8.00am and 5.00pm. Rehearsals can also be held on these days, between 4.00pm and 6.00pm.
There is no extra charge for rehearsals, however, these must be booked in advance with the Chapel Booking Clerk. This applies to singers, readers and decorators. We allow one hour for a rehearsal and 30 minutes for a viewing.
If you would like to view the chapel, please use the contact form below to request a viewing.
Photographer/Videographer
Arrangements should be made with the presiding Priest for appropriate access, without interference to the ceremony. Please remember that filming should be done in a respectful manner and that photographers should be appropriately dressed for the occasion.
Please note: No drone footage allowed.
Chapel Bells
You may wish to have the bells rung on your wedding day. Details of the bell ringer will be included in the confirmation package.
Music
The chapel has an electric keyboard and a pipe organ, and we are happy to provide you with contact information for an organist. However, you will need to arrange your own musicians and singers.
You are encouraged to use sacred or classical music for your wedding, as some secular or concert music may not be appropriate. Please seek the advice of your Priest in regard to the selection of appropriate music. A CD player is available. However, it will not play copied or burnt CDs or mp3 versions.
Fees
The booking fee is AU$550 (inclusive of GST). An AU$80 administration fee will apply to the cancellation of a confirmed booking. Payments can be made by credit card via phone or in person at the CEWA office. Please note CEWA does not accept cash at reception.
All additional expenses (music, decorations, payment of Priest, etc) are to be covered by the bridal couple.
