Students can contact their ViSN teacher via a Teams Call, Teams message, or email.
Yes, a ViSN camp is held in Perth annually for Year 11 students allowing ViSN students to meet their teacher and fellow classmates.
Students have a Class Teams call once a week with their teacher and then work through their course materials in four other classes during the week.
Course materials are accessed through a OneNote Classbook and Teams.
Yes, all ViSN students are allocated a mentor from their school who ensures they attend classes, discusses their progress and any concerns, and helps them keep up with the work.
Each school manages the enrolment of their students into ViSN courses. Students in a ViSN course remain enrolled in their own school.
ViSN is not a registered school, so teachers remain employed by a CEWA school.
No, as schools operate on different period schedules and start and finish times. Students may be required to come out of another lesson to attend their weekly Teams call lesson, which is the only time each week teachers and students come together at the same time. Students would then use their timetabled ViSN lesson for that day to catch up one the work missed whilst in the Teams call.
Yes, ViSN teachers will be given parent contact details for each of their students and are required to be in regular contact with the parents. Parent/student/teacher meetings are conducted after reporting periods via Teams.

Potential other costs could be contributions to the Year 11 ViSN Camp and booklist items. Booklists are provided to schools in Term 4 of the prior year. Curtin UniReady and VET courses have external provider costs which can be found in the ViSN Handbook.
Although no specific device is required, a laptop (Mac or PC) is preferred. iPads can be used however have some limited functionality. It is recommended that iPads have a keyboard and a stylus.
The Virtual School Network (ViSN) is an innovative initiative by Catholic Education Western Australia (CEWA) aimed at providing high-quality online education to Year 11 and Year 12 students.
